The campus of the University of Connecticut was opened during the year 1998 in a big, recently renovated building downtown, that was the large Bloomingdales store former home. The two other university campuses are situated within the River Bend Executive Center, which is Fairfield County's leading information and communication center. All these campuses are commuter campuses.
